When traveling to London, there are a few tips that must be kept in mind. For instance- how will you be traveling from the airport to downtown London?  Gatwick Airport is 28 miles (45 km) south of London and Heathrow Airport is 15 miles (23 km) west of London. So you may choose to get from each respective airport to the destination (London) by means of a private transfer provider, by train, or by taxi/car. A private transporter will make the process a bit easier, by meeting you at the airport with a personalized sign to direct you to where you need to be. A train, which is a non-stop method, may also be a more convenient and less costly option. Trains from Gatwick to London Victoria leave every 15 minutes and from Heathrow to Paddington London also leave every 15 minutes. The taxi/car drive takes between 60-75 minutes and cars usually hold up to 5 passengers. Once in London, for shoppers, a few destinations that must not be missed include Harrods, Harvey Nicks, and Portobello Road (the first two being high quality retail department stores, the third being an open air market place where a whole new meaning is brought to the word thrift).  Another suggested activity, for all you Chelsea FC fans, would be to tour the home stadium, Stamford Bridge. Tours last 75 minutes and included in your voucher is access to Centenary museum, which documents the history of the Chelsea Football Club. For two the price of the tour is ¬£28.38, with family packages also being available.
