Globe Theater

While visiting London, one thing to remember is that where you stay is not imperative to having a good time. Prior to traveling, look up group hostels as a great alternative to a pricey hotel. Consider getting around on the very easy Tube system as well, instead of cars or cabs.
There are a lot of historical places to visit in London. One that most people forget about is Shakespeare’s Globe Theater. If you have any interest in literature or theater, this is a place not to miss. Don’t miss the Notting Hill district, it is full of wonderful little shops and cafes. Another place people tend not to visit, is the London Zoo. One of the best zoos I’ve ever been to. When I return I will definitely attempt to see more plays in the theater district. There are so many to choose from. London is a great place to visit.

Chelsea FC stadium

When traveling to London, there are a few tips that must be kept in mind. For instance- how will you be traveling from the airport to downtown London?  Gatwick Airport is 28 miles (45 km) south of London and Heathrow Airport is 15 miles (23 km) west of London. So you may choose to get from each respective airport to the destination (London) by means of a private transfer provider, by train, or by taxi/car. A private transporter will make the process a bit easier, by meeting you at the airport with a personalized sign to direct you to where you need to be. A train, which is a non-stop method, may also be a more convenient and less costly option. Trains from Gatwick to London Victoria leave every 15 minutes and from Heathrow to Paddington London also leave every 15 minutes. The taxi/car drive takes between 60-75 minutes and cars usually hold up to 5 passengers. Once in London, for shoppers, a few destinations that must not be missed include Harrods, Harvey Nicks, and Portobello Road (the first two being high quality retail department stores, the third being an open air market place where a whole new meaning is brought to the word thrift).  Another suggested activity, for all you Chelsea FC fans, would be to tour the home stadium, Stamford Bridge. Tours last 75 minutes and included in your voucher is access to Centenary museum, which documents the history of the Chelsea Football Club. For two the price of the tour is ¬£28.38, with family packages also being available.

Amazing impressions

I arrived in London after I had visited more than 20 countries, 10 are located in Europe. Albion pleasured us with four sunny days. London has a lot of beautiful buildings with amazing architectures. Red color is very popular. Second day I spend in Canterbury, country town near London, especially I was impressed by local Cathedral, two stored houses and uncountable cafes, shops with low prices. I was told by my friends that London is very expensive city, of cause real estate, cars are expensive. But souvenirs, meals are very cheap rather in my city for instance. I did not expect such shopping in London!!! Maybe it was reduction time. I had shopping at NEXT store, where I found souvenirs, perfumes, clothes and much more. On next day I visited theatre. A great show ‚Äì songs, dance, actors were in amazing native costumes. There is booking office not far away from Trafalgar square where you can buy theatre tickets at half price. I spent 25 pounds for supper, before the performance get started, just five minutes away from Theatre. Very interesting excursion was at Westminster Abby and Tower with 14,5 pounds fot ticket. Amazing impressions after trip and I can’t describe all of them.
