Clash is the best Band there ever was and ever will be
December 19th, 2009 at 11:11 pm
Oh man. The Clash created the template for punk. Not the punk that grows up in privileged families but the ones that have seen really hard times.
The Ramones are the only other band that I can even comfortably group with the Clash as the originators of this genre.

Maybe the bands that inspired or influenced the Clash matter? Without musicians before them they wouldn’t have come in to being.

My God, 31 years ago. Honestly, it seems like just yesterday . . . RIP Joe.
December 20th, 2009 at 2:57 am
I think YOU have the syndrome…
December 20th, 2009 at 3:30 am
Well stated. The only band that matters. The CLASH.
December 20th, 2009 at 3:50 am
im lookin at 80,000 people who disagree.
December 20th, 2009 at 4:21 am
This is what it would sound like if all three members of Green Day had down syndrome.
Rubbish
December 20th, 2009 at 4:50 am

Joe trying to copy Johnny Rotten?!? That’s a weird thought, really! Sex Pistols were all about anarchy and fuck off to all society. And ironically a product, they were handpicked by Malcolm McLaren, more for looks and attitude than talent. The Clash on the other hand were political and socialists. Very different! But I still like both bands.
December 20th, 2009 at 6:45 am
ur rite
December 20th, 2009 at 7:14 am
joe was ten times better than johnny rotten.
December 20th, 2009 at 7:38 am
I don’t know if they filmed this for anything else, but it was featured in the movie Rude Boy and wasn’t shown all the way in the movie.
December 20th, 2009 at 8:07 am
man joe is tryin 2 copy johhny rotten
December 20th, 2009 at 8:39 am
dont worry, when you get older you’ll learn to appreciate that the clash are 100000x the band green day could ever be :>
December 20th, 2009 at 9:24 am
This was for real and they really cared! So refreshing to hear again, but why did the clip just stop?
December 20th, 2009 at 10:23 am
stop the video at 0:30
selling shit albums doesnt mean anything when you can influence a whole generation like Joe Strummer and the Clash did.
By the way get a fucking life and stop watching these videos just to say “huh green day rulez haha”
I rest my case.

LOL, so has hanna montana and michael jackson, emo/pop/mainstream sells numbnuts. Duran Duran is better than GD because, you know, record sales. Google it. Well thought out. lol wtf?
And The Clash still remain: ‘The Only Band That Matters’
December 20th, 2009 at 11:17 am
