London tube pass

The first thing any visitor to London needs to do is get a tube pass and a time out guide. You can take the tube to anywhere you need or want to visit. Start in the center of the tube, which is where the most touristy spots are, and work your way outwards.

I recommend going on the London Eye as one of the first stops so that you can see London from above. From there, you will be on the South Bank of the Thames, which is a great way to spend the day. The Tate museum is a must on the South Bank. Be sure to eat your lunch in a pub for the best local fare at London’s most reasonable prices. Or, have a baked potato covered with baked beans. This is a true English favorite. I promise, it is better than it sounds.

In central London you should avoid the financial district. Especially after 5pm. It shuts down and there is not much for the visitor to do.
